Please CONTACT US if you are interested in participating in a relay swim across the 12 mile width of Lake Tahoe in California on Friday, August 15.  If you have a boat in the Tahoe area and would like to help out on that day, please let us know.  Start point will be Sand Harbor at 8am and the end point will be Skylandia Beach.

Check out the below footage of Keris Dahlkamp’s solo 22 mile Tahoe crossing in 2013 for CongoSwim which took 14 hours. He was joined by Coco Ramazani, a Congolese woman who intimately knows the horrors of war.  Coco and other members of the Congolese community who recently were relocated to California by the UN as refugees will also be at the 2014 CongoSwim Tahoe Relay.  In the below video Coco ceremoniously writes words to represent her pain upon a stone which she threw in. Kambale Musavuli, the spokesperson for Friends of the Congo, learned to swim only months before taking on a part of the strongest current and waves of the day at Tahoe alongside Keris.  While Coco’s prayer in the video is Christian, CongoSwim and the beneficiary groups are not religiously affiliated.  Participants from all beliefs and traditions are encouraged to be a part of the collective action.
